POLY-GONE Demonstration
Checklist:
- We
need you to provide a place for us to hook up
the injection pump into your wash water line at
the press. This must be prior to where the wash
water lines split into upper and lower wash
boxes.
- The
injection fitting we provide is 1/2" Male
National Pipe Thread.
- Usually the best places
on the Wash Water Line are at the pressure gauge
or at the pump drain plug.
- Remove the gauge or plug
and install a "T" and a valve and reduce it to
1/2" Female, that way when we arrive, you will
not have to turn the press off for us to connect
the pump.
The
Demonstration:
- Ideally, you will be
running your press when we arrive and you have
the valve and injection point ready.
- We
will hook up our pump and product while you make
your final adjustment to the belt press.
- Prior
to turning on our pump, you can make
observations as to over-all condition, visual
drainage, feel of the belt, and note any
flooding or blinding that may already be
apparent.
- After
visual inspection make note of the following:
belt speed, belt tension, sludge feed, and
polymer feed.
- We
will then turn on our equipment. Our initial
setting for heavy duty shock cleaning will be
approximately 1 gallon to 2,800 gallons of wash
water.
- After
approximately 20 to 30 minutes (three fill turns
of the belt), we will ask you to note any
changes you have seen. During this time however,
we request that you do not change any
settings.
- After
changes have been noted, will will adjust our
pump into the maintenance mode: 16,000:1
dilution rate for POLY-GONE.
- Now
we will have some fun and experiment! If you
have VSP sludge pumps, we may ask you to
increase the sludge and leave the polymer
setting the same. We my ask you to change the
belt speed, or we may ask you to reduce polymer
settings. After we have completed the
dmonstrations, we would appreciate your comments
as to any observations that you may have
made.
